*GOOD RIDDANCE! – AMAZON SUSPENDS THOUSANDS WHO HIKED PRICES ON CORONAVIRUS SUPPLIES:

Thousands of people who tried to take advantage of the coronavirus pandemic to make a quick buck have been banned from selling on Amazon. The company said a dedicated team has been working to identify and investigate “unfairly priced” products that are in high demand during the outbreak, such as protective masks and hand sanitizer. In a statement released Monday, Amazon confirmed 3,900 selling accounts had been suspended for price-gouging. “We are also proactively sharing information with state attorneys general and federal regulators about sellers we suspect have engaged in egregious price-gouging of products related to the COVID-19 crisis,” the company said. Amazon also confirmed that it had pulled well over half a million offers from its online marketplace.

*MICHAEL JACKSON ESTATE DONATES $300,000 TO CORONAVIRUS RELIEF EFFORTS:

The Michael Jackson Estate
today announced that it is donating $300,000 to coronavirus response
efforts to help three communities that have been severely impacted by
the Covid 19 virus. Broadway Cares, Three Square Food Bank (Southern Nevada’s largest hunger-relief organization) and MusicCares will each receive a $100,000 donation.
“This virus strikes at the heart of the communities we are close to,”
said John Branca and John McClain, co-executors of the Estate of Michael
Jackson. “We learned today that the legendary Manu Dibango [a key influence on Jackson’s hit ‘Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’)
passed away from the virus. Other performers and support staff in
music and on Broadway are sick or have been left without work and are
facing an uncertain future. And in Las Vegas, which has
been so welcoming to Michael Jackson, the entire city has been shut
down leaving thousands of workers and their families devastated and
without an income. “Michael’s spirit of generosity and helping others
during his lifetime is legendary. These donations are inspired by him,”
they concluded.

*NORTH KOREA SECRETLY APPEALS FOR INTERNATIONAL HELP WITH CORONAVIRUS:

North Korean authorities have “secretly” appealed for international help with coronavirus testing even as officials have publicly insisted there are no confirmed cases of the virus inside the country, the Financial Timesreports. Citing a relevant document and several people familiar with the matter, the FT reports that officials in Pyongyang have privately pleaded with their international contacts to help ramp up testing in recent weeks. “The government has testing kits for Covid-19 and they know how to use them, but [the number of kits are] not sufficient, hence, [officials are] requesting all organizations . . . to support them in this regard,” the FT quoted one source as saying. Another source said at least 590 people who returned to North Korea from overseas in January had been tested, and all had been negative. Experts say the country’s weak health-care system, food shortages, and international sanctions make it especially vulnerable to the pandemic.

*BOB DYLAN SHARED ‘MURDER MOST FOUL’, HIS FIRST SONG IN EIGHT YEARS:

The most elusive man in rock stepped out of
the shadows late Thursday to share his first new original track in
eight years—and it’s an epic. Bob Dylan shared his 17-minute track “Murder Most Foul”
on his social media channels shortly after midnight, writing:
“Greetings to my fans and followers with gratitude for all your support
and loyalty across the years. This is an unreleased song we recorded a
while back that you might find interesting. Stay safe, stay observant
and may God be with you.” The song starts off as a lament of the 1963
assassination of President John F. Kennedy, then goes on to reference multiple cultural figures and important events from the 1960s and ’70s, including The Beatles, Patsy Cline, and Woodstock. Dylan’s last studio album of original songs was 2012’s Tempest, and he’s since released three albums of old standards.

*SAQUON BARKLEY, NFL STAR RUNNING BACK, HEAVILY PREPPING FOR THE 2020 SEASON WITH THE NEW COACH:
They don’t call him “SaQuads” for nothing. Given the ongoing outbreak of coronavirus, Saquon Barkley still won’t let anything stop his 2020 season planning. The New York Giants running back is seen in a recently released video squatting a giant amount and going through a variety of other workouts. Barkley is starting his third NFL season, stopping at none to make it the finest yet.
Barkley is coming off a year in which he was struggling with a sprain ankle. But Barkley still hit the 1000-yard mark despite the fact that he only played in 13 games. He racked up a total of 1,003 yards on 217 carries (4.6 yards per carry) and six touchdowns. Barkley additionally caught 52 balls for 438 yards and two scores through the air. All of these accomplishments come after his rookie season in which he led the league with 2,028 yards from scrimmage. His contributions won him the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year Award and a trip to his very first Pro Bowl. Luckily for Saquon, in the 2020 season, he’ll be working with an offensive coordinator who knows how to make good use of the run game. Jason Garrett served with one of the league’s best, Ezekiel Elliott, for his last four seasons as the Dallas Cowboys head coach. For three of his four seasons, the star back reached the 1000-yard mark and is a two-time NFL leader for running yards.
Jason Garrett spoke on the phone with Saquon Barkley soon after he was named as the new offensive coordinator for the Giants. “One of the first things he told me was: ‘You know I like to run the ball, right?’ ” Barkley stated. “I was like: ‘For sure I already know that. I’ve been on the other side of that for the last two years watching Zeke'”. Barkley has learned plenty of positive things about his latest play-caller from those across the league and is excited to see how this move plays out. He’s eager to start listening to some more practical suggestions about how the Giants want to deploy Garrett. Getting the ball in the hands of their most talented offensive player is undoubtedly a solid start to compiling the playbook.
Garrett’s impact is felt within the whole team, especially with the coaching staff. As such, it seems that Jason Garrett’s presence for the New York Giants is one that reaches even further than just to players like Saquon. Head Coach of the New York Giants, Joe Judge is very optimistic with the addition of Jason Garrett to the Coaching team. “He has the experience as a player and a coach,” Judge said of Garrett. “He’s had success with multiple players in multiple systems over the course of time. He understands the big picture of the game, he understands how to use a roster as a whole. He’s a tremendous teacher and a great communicator and he’s been great with our staff. I’m very excited in having Jason in the building. I’m very pleased we’re able to add him to the staff and he’s been a great resource for us”.
